Introduction:                        
Ours is a co-educational, residential cum day-boarding higher secondary school set up in a serene atmosphere in Kalna Town, in Burdwan district of West Bengal, India. Kalna Town, just 82 kms away from Kolkata enjoys an unpolluted and healthy environment and is blessed with the holy touch of the river “Bhagirathi” and also enfolds a rich heritage and history, thus providing your ward with an unique atmosphere for learning.

 The school enjoys the sponsorship of a reputed and upcoming industrial group, the Misra Group of Industries, involved in the fields of mining, ceramics, constructions, agro-based industries and now laying their hands on the stream of middle and high order education. The school was established in 1996 & since then it has filled the vacuum of a good boarding school in the plains of Kalna's divine heritage. Because of its proximity to Kolkata is easily accessible by rail and road. The Management of the school also has a long drawn up plan to upgrade the academic facilities up to the college level in future in a phased manner.

 LIBRARY & MOVIE SCREENING FACILITIES : The school has a well equipped Library with a variety of books ranging from literary classics to all subjects with reading room & movie screening facilities.

COMPUTER LABS : The school has a well established computer lab with latest  computers & state of the art peripherals. Regular computer education has been incorporated from Std – I itself. Academic Perspective :

The school is affiliated to the Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, preparing the students for the Indian Certificate For Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination. The Council is accepted by the academic institutions and employers throughout the world. The medium of instruction is English. Bengali, Hindi and Assamese are also taught as the second and third languages as necessary. The school is headed by a highly experienced Principal having a proven track record as a renowned academician over years. The school has well qualified highly trained & experienced teachers to impart quality education to the students. The student teacher ratio is 25 : 1. The school provides education of a high quality, an atmosphere that is friendly and relaxed and a setting that furnishes all the necessary tools of learning. There is an arrangement for providing special coaching to the Hostel Students on regular basis by our qualified and trained teachers of the school. The new session every year starts from 1st week of April.

Hostel Facilities

The school provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, from Std – I onwards. In addition to this, a new hostel complex has been built with complete marble flooring and attached tiled bathrooms with all modern facilities, thus making every child’s stay a very comfortable & a remembering one. Each hostel is managed by a professionally trained warden. Apart from this, a teacher is deputed as an in-charge for each cluster of 20 hostelites, who is responsible for their physical and mental development besides academics. For students from Std – I to Std – IV well trained hostel nurses are deployed for their all round service. There are complete and separate arrangements for healthy nourishing food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. Weekly health check-ups of hostelites are carried out and proper records are maintained. In-house Laundry facilities are also available along with emergency infirmary / clinic where due care is given to every sick and ailing child on a primary basis.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Participation in games & sports activities in an organised manner as per the school routine is compulsory for all students. Cricket, Football, Volley ball, Basket ball, Khokho, Table tennis, Badminton and Athletics are played on a regular basis and proper training is given for all the above activities. The school hostels have a modern gym, where due care is taken for the physical development of hostelites. 

Apart from academics, sports & games, the school lays special emphasis on co-curricular activities. Provisions are made for Music, Dance, Dramatics, Debate, Art & Painting, Needle work & Embroidery, Paper cutting & puppetry. Yearly educational excursions are organised by the school authority on a compulsory basis.
